HAPPY SUMMER! My goal this summer is to enjoy it. I have been in business since 2010 and in the years since then I have learned a lot. I have learned that it is important to have a work/life balance. I have also learned that if your work/life balance fails then it is really hard to love what you do. People always come up to me saying how lucky I am to do what I do. And yes, I am lucky. But in the beginning of my career I said “I know I am so lucky” way more convincing then I did last year. Last year was a tough year for me. I went over four months without a weekend off. THANK GOD I had amazing clients but even with those amazing clients I still missed out on SO MUCH. I wasn’t able to go to family cookouts, I wasn’t able to go to the beach with friends and most of all I just missed Eric. This year I have made sure to keep one weekend a month off and I am trying to take one day during the week off if I have a wedding that weekend. Lets see how long I am able to stand by this!!

ANYWAY…. Remember Kate and Frank. It feels like they were just on my blog…. well they were. They did their engagement photos about two weeks before their wedding. These two picked an amazing venue for their wedding: Bishop Farm. Let me tell you the people that work there are AMAZING. The vibe there is amazing. Bishop Farm is like a fun little destination venue that isnt too far. As Matt and I were driving to the wedding his GPS kept saying “rain 90%”. I am not going to lie that always breaks my heart a little, but weather is one of those things that is out of you hands. Nothing you can do my friends. BUT… as we got close the percentage kept going down. By the time we got there it was about 85 degrees with 100% humidity. No joke we were all DYING. I cant tell you how much water we drank. We kept saying “we cant complain this was supposed to be rain”. What was supposed to be a rainy day turned into a beautiful/warm May day. Surrounded by friends and family Kate and Frank exchanged vows in a cattle barn that was beyond amazing. I cant wait to see what the future holds for you two!!
