I remember the day Annie and Carlos got engaged. Eric and I were driving home from Maine with Tiller in the back seat. We had stopped at the Kennebunk rest stop to grab Starbucks. As we went to pull away a text came in from Annie. She and Carlos were hiking and it was a photo of the two of them with coffees. I smiled and went to respond saying “cute miss you”. Eric’s response was much different. He looked at me and said “holy sh*t that’s an engagement ring on her finger”. How did he notice that and I didn’t? We immediately face-timed them and heard all the details. Over the next few months and trips to Maine we chatted wedding details. One of my favorite details was the fact that they asked Eric to officiate the wedding. Eric and Annie have been best friends for years. Annie was one of the first friends of Eric I met. He gave Carlos the approval pretty quickly. As soon as they started coming North and skiing with us we knew that this was going to be fun. Over the last few years I would really say that Annie has become one of my go to people. She is so loyal and can make you laugh at the drop of a hat. The same goes for Carlos. He is so comforting and easy going. These two are two people that I am so happy Eric and I have in our lives. We seriously are blessed to have them. Annie and Carlos got married on July 3rd which was so fitting for Carols’ time served overseas! It was the perfect day to celebrate!! I am not going to lie, I have lost sleep over this wedding. I just want it to be as perfect as the day was. These two deserve nothing but the best. Guys, I am beyond happy for the two of you. I love you both to death!! Now when do we get meat and cheese??
