OK… This is my blog so I can take a minute to talk about myself for a second. My goal booking my 2016 season was to leave one weekend a month off. One weekend that would allow me time with my friends and my family. A weekend to go to the beach, go to a cookout, stay up late, go on a road trip, not get dressed etc. I failed in for the month of may, but going forward I have one weekend off every month. This past weekend I had off. Let me tell you… IT WAS GLORIOUS. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed myself. I made a list of all the things I wanted to do and Eric made sure that we checked each and every single one of them off. I wanted to eat at Olivadi’s in Norwood, I wanted to sit outside at Castle Hill and have a glass of proseco, I wanted to try a new restaurant by my parents house, and I wanted to go to the beach. DONE DONE DONE DONE. It’s very rare that Eric and I have any time just us on weekends. Actually I can’t tell you the last time we had a weekend JUST US. So the fact that we completed ALL of my wishes on my list the two of us was extra special. Thanks so much Eric!!
Now… moving on. Over the years I have had a few people ask me if I did “pre-wedding portraits” of the bride. I hadn’t. I didn’t know it was a thing. But, it turns out it is a thing for some cultures. I have also had a few brides say they would love to do another shoot in their dress but they don’t want to do a “trash the dress”. So, I figured that I would introduce a new type of shoot that would allow you to either get portraits done prior to your wedding, or portraits done after your wedding. Leigh, who was a bride from what seems like forever ago came in and did a little “Bridal & Boudoir” shoot. We did some portraits of her in her stunning BHLDN dress and then we did some boudoir photos, which I am not going to post for obvious reasons. So if you are interested in something like this lets make it happen shall we?! Everyone says “you only wear your wedding dress on one day”, but that doesn’t have to be the case!
