I hope that everyone had as good of a 4th of July weekend as I did. Summer has always been one of my favorite times of year ever since I was a little kid. Now that I am a wedding photographer it has changed a bit. More times than not I am working on weekends and I miss out on lots of the fun things that I used to look forward to. Please don’t think that I am complaining because I am not. I consider myself to be BEYOND lucky to do what I love day in and day out. If that means I miss some cookouts and beach days so be it. My clients are the absolute best, so when I miss certain gatherings I still feel like I am hanging out with friends. Not only did I get to photograph an amazing wedding this Saturday, but I got to hang out with tons of friends and family Sunday – Tuesday. I call that a success. I got to wonder around Newport, sit on my parents deck eating lobster and drinking prosecco. I got to visit friends from home that were in town, and I got to lay by the pool with some pretty killer people. To finish things off we had a little cookout at our house last night with some family! I mean I couldn’t have asked for more.
It seems like yesterday that I was posting Hannah and Max’s engagement session. Probably because it was just a few weeks ago. These two got married in June and let me tell you… they know how to party. I kid you not the dance floor was packed all night. From the time the second line marched into the country club until the time the last song finished the floor was FULL. They had friends and family from all over the country by their side tearing it up. I nearly died when the “Wobble” came on and you could barely move. I RESPECT THAT GUYS! I had so much fun capturing their day because they made it fun. Their wedding will totally be talked about for awhile and I am so happy I was able to capture it!
